I am a composer, musician and sound designer.
I also teach digital composition at Royal Holloway where I'm programme lead for the music and sound design degree.
The vast majority of my work is interdisciplinary. This includes music for film, TV and radio as well as over ninety dance and theatre shows in twenty countries. I've worked with/at the National Theatre, Scottish Ballet, the National Theatre of Tunisia, the National Dance Company of Korea, Prague Chamber Ballet, the Royal Opera House, The National Theatre of Bavaria, Complicite and Forest Fringe amongst others. My music has been played on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music as well as Classic FM and Resonance. Commercial clients include McDonalds, Nokia and Sky Sports.
Long-term collaborators include theatre-maker Bryony Kimmings, the Dutch dance company Ivgi&Greben and the choreographer Keren Levi.
My work ranges from tiny ephemeral things for one person at a time, to large-scale international touring productions. I don't have a consistent style or method: I'm as happy making esoteric sonic experiments as normal-sounding music and do both all the time. One day I might be making brutal sheets of noise, the next a heartbreaking ballad. Most of all, I like nerding around with sounds and making things with/for other people.
Whatever has brought you here, I'd love to talk about it.
